Construction Canada gives the F. Ross Browne Award for article of the year annually to the author of an exemplary article that appears in their magazine.  This year green roof industry professionals Kees Govers of LiveRoof Ontario and Sasha Aquilera were bestowed with this honor for their collaborative effort, Designing Extensive and Semi-Extensive Vegetated Roofs for Long-Term Performance.

The winner of the F. Ross Browne award is an article that provides important and timely information to the magazine’s audience of designers and specifiers across Canada.  Named for the late Construction Canada columnist, F. Ross Browne, this honor is awarded annually to an article from the previous year’s publication.

Kees and Sasha’s article focuses on the technical elements of designing, installing, and maintaining green roof systems from a designer’s perspective.  The article gives designers a well-rounded understanding of each step of the green roof design process.
