LiveRoof Team Leader

We are looking for an individual who embraces leading others through training, encouraging and maintaining group performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain production and stock plants in great health through weeding, mulching, planting, and spraying
  • Reads and implements daily job responsibilities, and fills out time sheets.
  • Leads team in daily duties to meet deadlines, communicates piecework, trains teammates, conducts performance appraisals, and participates in weekly team leader meetings.
  • Works toward maximizing his or her own, efficiency, and works toward enhancing the effectiveness and profitability of LiveRoof.
  • Assists in other departments as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments to deliver the best quality product and service to our customers.

 REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 18 years old.
  • Must be coordinated and fast with their eyes and hands.
  • Hard working team players who are capable of working well in small groups.
  • Often lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Able to do math and read.
  • Stamina and endurance are critical.

 COMPLEXITY/PROBLEM SOLVING

  • Conditions may be hot, cold, wet, or dry, indoors, in the greenhouses, or outside.

 RESPONSIBILITY/OVERSIGHT (FINANCIAL & SUPERVISORY)

  • Leads cultural teammates and directs the team to complete tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Supervises, motivates, teaches, and trains teammates in accomplishing the daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
  • Participates in the appraisal of teammates and primary supervisor.

 COMMUNICATIONS/INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS

  • Must be perceptive, responsible, timely, and precise.

Compensation:

$10.19 – $13.25 per hour; time and 1/2 for overtime. Starting wage is dependent upon experience.

Piece rate pay accounts for some compensation while other activities are paid at your normal hourly rate.  Some piecework activities will be performed individually and others in teams of up to 4 people.  Depending on your and your team’s performance you may earn above or below your normal hourly rate for the week average but never lower than the federally established minimum wage; however, piece rate compensation does not guarantee minimum wage on any given project.
