LiveRoof System Options LiveRoof, LLC offers four advanced green roof systems to meet your living roof needs. Our LiveRoof Standard System at 4 ¼” depth is ideal for most applications and offers an ideal blend of aesthetics, storm water management, and cost.
The LiveRoof Lite System with 2 ½” soil depth and is designed for roofs that can support only 15 to 17 pounds per square foot. Under special circumstances we can lighten this further and have been very successful with an X-Lite version that weighs only 10 lbs. per sf when wet. The LiveRoof Deep System has a soil depth of 6” and can accommodate traditional perennials including most native species (with irrigation). It is also ideal for the rooftop growing of vegetables. Our LiveRoof Maxx 8” System is ideal for vegetable and perennial gardens on rooftops where access is limited and product must be carried to the site. It can also be used to meet special municipal codes. Soil: Appx. 2 1/2" deep.

Merits: Maximizes storm water management, integrates perfectly with new construction and often times existing buildings. Plants: Succulent ground covers, water conserving accent plants, and hardy spring blooming bulbs.

Merits: When irrigated. expands plant biodiversity to array of drought resistant conventional and native perennials, grasses, and vegetables. Plants: Succulent ground covers, and highly drought tolerant native and adapted non-native perennials and grasses.
   Soil: Appx. 8" deep.
Module Size: 1' x 1' x 3 1/4" integrates with LiveRoof Standard, Deep, and Maxx 12"
Saturated Weight: Appx. 60-65 lbs/sf saturated and vegetated. (for regular LiveRoof Soil.)

Merits: Meets municipal codes in locales with 8 inch soil depth requirement. Perimeter ballast supports drought resistant perennials, grasses, and vegetables, and can be used to optimize biodiversity. Plants: Succulent ground covers, drought tolerant native and adapted non-native perennials, grasses, and vegetables.
